On the left is Mr. Joaquin Folch from St. Augustine, FL, next is Mrs. Virginia Calderon from El Paso, TX, next Mrs. Bonnie Pellegrino from Syarcuse, NY, next is Mr. and Mrs. Manual and Marcella Lujan from Las Vegas, NM, and finally Theresa and Mary Mick from San Diego, CA.
This group of volunteers signed up our 3,000th rally captain. This wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of the volunteers who came before them, nevertheless their efforts pushed us over the top.
For all but one, this is their first opportunity to volunteer.
For of these volunteers speak Spanish, so if you know someone who would like to become a rally captain, but who only speaks Spanish, please have them call at (866) 584 - 6012.
What if things go wrong?
Please remember that today there is a tremendous spiritual battle between the children of Mary and the vile minions of Lucifer. As a result, Lucifer will unleash all the evil at his disposal to interrupt and to discourage the public square rosary.
The devil cringes in pain at each and every Hail Mary. Imagine thousands upon thousands of not just single Hail Mary's which would cause the devil tremendous pain, but thousands upon thousands of rosaries.
Our Lady, in order to test our fidelity and resolve, allows the devil to try us in certain ways. Our Lady tests our willingness to suffer obstacles and trials out of love for Her in order to make the rosary rallies go ahead. Without the cross, there is no resurrection.
Will we give up at the first test, or will we persevere despite test after increasingly difficult test?
What are some of the tests we may receive? The apathy of others is a big test. Those who do not want to participate because they don't see what the big deal is about the public square rosary. That can be discouraging, but the souls devoted to Our Lady will not let that stop them.
Other tests are the practical trials. Your banner or rally captain manual may be delayed. You might have difficulty at times getting through on the phone. Your name might be misspelled.
Know that these incidents are small compared to the overall grandeur of the campaign. The devil causes problems in the phone system, in the computer system, in the mailing system. As infrequent as these are, they can be an irritation when they happen to you.
If everything doesn't go right, remind yourself that this is the lot of the most beloved of Mary. The beloved of Mary suffer numberless trials in expiation.
Turn your back upon the devil, reject the temptation to suffer irritation, be calm, pray to Our Lady. I can guarantee you that if you turn to Her with a pure heart, She will resolve your difficulty, often times in a spectacular way.
